Today’s Update (19AUG09)
Posted by Nick in Uncategorized on August 19th, 2009
This morning, we see no good long positions and a series of downtrend/correction signals. We’ve had a few shorts register, but will be holding off until today’s trading shows us where it’s going. We’re still researching for our subscribers, and issued a watchlist for potential shorts. Not a subscriber? E-mail info@gatorcharts.com for more information!

Did you cash in an average a 13% return yesterday?
Our subscribers did- we sent out a newsletter in the morning with recommendations to get in if the purchase the day before was missed and a followup action alert at 10:16 when we hit the profit objective on both active positions, advising a trailing stop and guidelines.
Did you miss IPG and EK yesterday? Did you get out too soon, or wait too long and let profits slip away? Don’t let this happen to you again. Get more information about our subscribers service by e-mailing info@gatorcharts.com.

Book: Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Markets
Posted by Nick in Trader's Library on August 13th, 2009
One of the first books that I read when getting into trading was this book, by Stan Weinstein. Filled with useful technical information and trading terminology to help traders of all levels- this may be a bit of an involved read for the beginner, but provides a solid foundation for your trading education. At $13.57 for a new copy, this is one of the better values out there to help you make money.

Today’s Action (12AUG09)
Today, we’re sticking with our EK position and looking into a few subscriber-only positions with a guarded caution over today’s Fed comments today- we’re ready to pull out in advance to avoid any histeria if warrented. For today, trade carefully and wait for aggressive moves until tomorrow.
As mentioned, we do have a few long positions that we’re providing to subscribers only. Not a subscriber? E-mail info@gatorcharts.com for more info!

Today’s Action (11AUG09)
Yesterday, we entered another EK position at 4.05 on positive technicals and a good set of after-hours and overnight trading in foreign markets. Again, we’ve seen gains in the Hang Seng and Nikkei, and I’m leaning toward looking into more technology-oriented companies, but EK gives us a good mix of technology and time-tested goods. EK closed last night at 4.24, and had an afterhours peak of 4.30.
Out action today would be to hold yesterday’s purchase, and buy in or buy more under 4.15, if the opportunity arises. Our current sell is 4.45, and we’ll revisit that in the subscriber newsletter later in the day. Not a subscriber? E-mail info@gatorcharts.com for more info!

Today’s Action (10AUG09)
Posted by Nick in Buy Signal, Outlook on August 10th, 2009
This week looks somewhat promising- with the Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng up last night and our recent rally, I’m leaning toward a long week. How long this will last, I can’t say- I do know that we need to be poised to reverse if the trend changes- and it most likely willl before long.
Today, I like EK. I’ll be watching it and hoping for an entry around 4.10, possibly lower. This position should be entered by 11:00 EST, with a .15 trailing stop and a .40 profit objective. If this trade moves quickly, I’ll trail my stop and profit objective up a bit more, but I don’t see EK going over.. 4.65 today, if it makes it that far.

Could you handle having an extra 10% in your pocket?
Because that’s exactly what we did with our money yesterday- back into EK just before 10:30 for 3.57 and got out around 12:30 for 3.92 for a .35 profit – a 10% return in just TWO HOURS.
While these moves don’t occur every day, how do you know they’re happening? If you were subscribed to our newsletter, you would’ve been alerted beforehand and received our announcement to get out near the top. Sign-ups will open next week- don’t get left behind, make money with us. Our portfolio tells the tale- 6 out of 7 recent trades have been profitable!

Yesterday’s Pick – 05AUG09
Posted by Nick in Close Position on August 5th, 2009
What a great day to be a subscriber yesterday- for those who don’t subscribe to our e-mail list, here’s a piece of what you’re missing:
We had an open long position in EK at 2.88 from June. Yesterday morning, we increased that position significantly- in advance of a .87 jump- a 27% jump in ONE DAY! We exited the position slightly before it’s height (.09 off the top), and this may continue to head upwards, a re-entry announcement will be made by 10:30 if warranted.
Today, we’re watching a lower-movement stock, ETFC- hoping to scalp this for a few cents, optimally .25- the fundamentals show a potential for growth here, but just like with all $10 or less stocks, it’s going to be a bit of guesswork to know if it’s really going to move.

This Week’s Outlook – 13JUL09
For my trading method, this week appears to have no sure direction- general market instabilities, recent earnings, options expiration and potential government intervention in the financial sector has made this a difficult week to predict. Out long EK position has come around (although a much longer timeframe than I had hoped) to nearly a 5% gain over 2 days, and today has been a great day of scalping MU and CIT- CIT’s current instability makes it a great minute-by-minute play.
For the rest of the week, I expect to be playing with CIT, MU and possibly MSFT in very short-term plays. I won’t be going long for more than 2.5 hours at a time (other than EK) and will be looking for an appropriate exit for EK.

Short Update- 09JUL09
Posted by Nick in Uncategorized on July 9th, 2009
There’s not a whole lot to say about the past few days of trading that hasn’t been repeated time after time by every financial news program- it’s been an interesting set of days and unfortunately, have sidelined the conservative small capital traders. I haven’t seen anything that I’d like to jump at aside from a few longshots- some worked out, some didn’t. I did manage to liquidate MSFT- this may be a poor idea long term, but I felt the need to get out with my profits and prepare for next week. I’m looking into a number of low-entry stocks that should be actionable within the next few weeks- time will tell, and I’ll keep up to date!
